Months ago, when my baby boy turned 18months, I was always looking around for toys and related products for him. After spending much time, going thru all the retail toy outlets, I realized that most of the toys were either made of synthetic materials or not well designed, and safe for my baby to enjoy.

Most of the toys that are sold in the stores are covered with copyrighted characters like “MM”, “DD”, “Thomas”, “Elm” and so on, even to the extend that my boy will point to me that he wants a MM Doll. That was when I ponder and think “Is that what I want him to grow up learning, and recognizing all these commercial characters? Exposing him to these TV characters at such a young age, when I know, he will definitely get to know them when he attended school years later”

As I am a mum who strongly believes that no or minimum TV for my boy till he reaches 3 years old, I strongly feel that he should be exploring, enjoying and playing at this stage, both indoor and outdoor. As for indoor, I would want only quality, innovative, yet educative and safety toys for him to play!

That’s when I decided to source around globally, for toys that are not only entertaining, beautifully done but also toys that allow my boy to use his imagination and creativity skills. It was in September 2009, that I came across toys from Europe, which are beautifully made using finest natural materials and best of all, all the toys are like pieces of art that can be displayed in my home, when my boy has outgrown them.

So, in early November 2009, zero2six was born with the objective of having ONLY quality toys and products for children between 0-6 years old.  We strive to ensure zero2six only carry toys and products that meet our three main criteria:-

–        safety

–        educative, and innovative

–        environmental-friendly

With this, in January 2010, we will launch a showroom cum playground, where parents can come with their kids. The parents can do their viewing, shopping and discussion in our showroom, while the kids can enjoy, play and interact with the toys that we carry.

zero2six will continue to source and carry ONLY wonderful, traditional, ever-expanding mix of toys and products, that meet the three important criteria, for all our customers.
